BiblioWorks promotes education and literacy in communities in need. They believe that healthy communities require healthy minds. That’s why they have been building libraries, supplying books and training librarians in the poorest communities of Bolivia since 2005.
BiblioWorks receives most of their financing from donations and Condortrekkers are very happy to assist in this way. We have worked together to make a documentary in a small rural town called Morado K’asa as part of an intercultural exchange with school children in Poland. The Polish school has made similar projects in Kenya and India in previous years. Proceeds from this project were used to build a library in Maragua where we take most of our treks.
